Applications for the 2010-2012 programme are closed.
Applications for the 2012-2014 programme can be sent starting 15 December 2011 with the deadline of 15 January 2012.
Applications are handled by VHS. The application code is: ÖU-30960. Kindly, do not send applications to Örebro university.
Please read the application instructions on www.studera.nu carefully before
you apply, and make sure you have all documents asked for before you submitt
your application.
In addition to the documents asked for on www.studera.nu you should also add the following to your application:
- A personal statement.
In this statement (approximately two pages) you shall reflect on how the new
information- and communication technologies (ICTs) have affected/might affect
the journalistic profession in your country as well as globally. You shall
also describe your expectations on the programme, why you want to attend the
programme, and how you believe you would benefit from it in the future. The
personal statement should be added to the application and sent to VHS together
with the rest of the application documents.
- Proof of journalistic experience
If you have journalistic experience (national or international) you should
submitt proof of employment stating your position and lenght of employment.
This is because part of the selection for the program is based on previous
work experience. This should be added to the application and sent to VHS together
with the rest of the application documents.
- Scholarship documentation
If you plan to apply for a scholarship from the Swedish Institute (see
"Scholarship and Visa") you should
submit a letter from your employer confirming that you are able to take a
leave of absence for the duration of your studies, and that you will be able
to return to your position when you have finished studying. If you cannot
provide such a letter, please provide proof of employment of at least five
years in a relevant field. This should be added to the application and sent
to VHS together with the rest of the application documents.
